To whom it may concern,
Our scope of work was to perform a visual observation of the roof wood beam to assess the structural integrity. We performed our observation on May 4th, 2019.
The beam in question is supporting the roof with a tributary width of approximately 15ft. the beam is 7inch wide x 15inch deep. It spans approximately 27ft. The flexural member is a solid sawn timber ( > 6inches in width; cut from an actual tree). The beam was painted black and received roof joists attached with Simpson Strong-tie hangers.
